What It Means To Be A Christian
At Christian Connection STL, we believe being a Christian is more than just identifying with a faith — it is a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. According to Scripture, to be saved and become a Christian, a person must: 1. Acknowledge their need for salvation – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
2. Believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior – “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).
3. Repent from sin – turning away from old ways and choosing to follow Christ (Acts 3:19).
4. Receive God’s grace by faith – salvation is not earned by works, but is a free gift through faith in Jesus (Ephesians 2:8–9).
5. Live as a disciple – growing in prayer, Scripture, fellowship, and love for others as evidence of a transformed life (John 13:35). Being a Christian is about new life in Christ, walking daily with Him, and building relationships that honor God.

Coming Soon: Compatibility Test
Our upcoming Compatibility Test is designed to go beyond surface-level matchmaking. Participants will complete a 40-question test that helps reveal personality, values, and faith alignment. From there, our team will carefully review the results to identify strong potential matches. But it doesn’t stop there — each participant will also provide three references (family, friends, or a spiritual advisor) who can speak on their behalf. Together, this process ensures that every match is approached with prayer, wisdom, and community support. Our goal is to help you connect in a Christ-centered way that honors God and builds a strong foundation for meaningful relationships.
